About the Board & Our Mission

Preserving Our Watershed Since 1990

The Lake Musconetcong Regional Planning Board was established as an advisory board on January 10, 1990. Our primary purpose is to recommend and implement programs to maintain and improve the water quality of the Lake Musconetcong Watershed areas.

We proudly report to the municipalities of Byram, Netcong, Roxbury, and Stanhope, the counties of Sussex and Morris, and the State of New Jersey. The board consists of dedicated members from each town and the state working together to protect our natural resources.
